Open

One of the oldest tournaments of the European Tour

For Dutch golfers, the KLM Open is a tournament they look forward to every year. This classic is one of the oldest tournaments of the European Tour. The 101st edition took place in September 2021, followed by the 102nd edition at the end of May 2022 and we concluded with the 103rd edition during the Pentecost weekend of 2023. The highlights per edition, including an impression of the atmosphere, can be found below. In addition, we are proud to announce that the largest women's golf event in the world, the Solheim Cup, will be held in the Netherlands for the first time in 2026 at Bernardus Golf.

Dutch Open 2021

The first edition of the Dutch Open at Bernardus Golf was an unforgettable experience.

During a sun-drenched weekend, we were able to enjoy top-level golf along with 25,000 visitors. Swedish golfer Kristoffer Broberg followed in the footsteps of his compatriot Peter Hanson and won with a 3-stroke lead over Schmid, finishing at 265 (-23). Our own Darius van Driel, encouraged by a large crowd of fans, delivered a top performance and finished fourth.

Beat the Pro

Beat the Pro is a special event at the KLM Open where amateurs may hit a ball on hole 8 (par-3) on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the tournament. After the professionals have teed off, the amateur may try to hit a ball closer to the hole. If successful he or she will win a spectacular prize and of course, is the hero of the day.

Dutch Open 2022

The 102nd edition of the Dutch Open consisted of four thrilling days during which intense competition took place, and there was a new leader every day.

The final match between the Frenchman Victor Perez and New Zealand's Ryan Fox was a fantastic sensation with 4 play-offs! The atmosphere in the promotional village and at the wine truck also contributed to a very successful edition. Just like the previous edition, Bernardus Golf received a lot of praise for its course and facilities from both tour players and their coaches. Joost Luiten was the highest-ranking Dutch player during this edition.

Top 50

Every two year the ranking of best golf courses in the Netherlands is presented by an independent foundation. Bernardus is ranked at number 8, a great achievement that we, as a young course, are proud of.

"The KLM Open has really put the course on the map. Fun to play, a beautiful and sustainable golf course and maintenance a big 10. Bernardus is for me the best new course in the Netherlands." -

KLM Open 2023

The latest edition of the KLM Open during the Pentecost weekend of 2023 was once again a delight from start to finish.

This year, winner Pablo Larrazábal claimed the title from Victor Perez. On the 18th hole, he made a beautiful final birdie putt. That birdie extended the eventual difference with the runner-up, compatriot Adrian Otaegui, to two strokes. Danish golfer Rasmus Højgaard and South African Deon Germishuys shared the third place. The greenkeepers also delivered a fantastic performance this year, providing a top-quality course every day.
